## Take control of your energy use

Automate your home energy use around your schedule, preferences and even the weather! A smart thermostat makes it easy to control and monitor your heating and cooling from anywhere — helping you stay comfortable when you're home and save energy and money when you're not.

## How to get your rebate

#### Work with a participating contractor

**Step 1**  
Find a participating contractor through our [online tool](https://customer.efficiencynavigator.com/FindContractor?clientId=86). Smart thermostats do not require contractor installation.

**Step 2**  
Work with them to complete the project.

**Step 3**  
You or your contractor then submits your application.

#### Do it yourself

**Step 1**  
Purchase your qualifying equipment.

**Step 2**  
Apply for your rebate online or download the application and submit via email or mail.

In 6-8 weeks, either you or your contractor will receive the rebate, as requested in the rebate application.

### Customer eligibility

Customers who receive residential natural gas service from New Mexico Gas Company, as evidenced by their residential customer account number, are eligible.

### Product eligibility

Smart thermostats must be ENERGY STAR® certified to be eligible. Limit two (2) smart thermostat rebates per household.
