New Homes Rebates

New Mexico Gas Company offers rebates to contractors who build energy-efficient homes. To qualify, builders must install a high efficiency furnace or water heater or use a whole-home approach and receive a RESNET-accredited HERS rating.
High-performance and ENERGY STAR® homes are 15% to 20% more energy efficient than standard homes built to code. Specialized features include:

Incentives will be paid on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to project and customer eligibility and availability of funds.
New home builders can save on the costs of building energy-efficient homes in five easy steps:
Submit a registration form
Complete an Online Partnership Agreement if you’re building an ENERGY STAR certified home
Sign the builder agreement
Build homes according to the path you select—builders pursuing the whole-house path will need to select a participating RESNET-accredited HERS rater to complete an on-site inspection and home performance test
Submit final documentation through our online portal
