Save on an Energy-Efficient New Home

New Mexico Gas Company offers rebates to contractors who build energy-efficient homes. To qualify, builders must install a high efficiency furnace or water heater or use a whole-home approach and receive a RESNET-accredited HERS rating.

New Mexico Gas Company has earned a 2023 Market Leader Award from the ENERGY STAR Residential New Construction program. This award recognizes our significant commitment and success in providing ENERGY STAR certified homes for families in New Mexico.

 

Benefits of High-Performance Homes

High-performance and ENERGY STAR® homes are 15% to 20% more energy efficient than standard homes built to code. Specialized features include:

How It Works

Products and homes completed by a registered new home builder between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024, are available for rebates through our 2023 program. Rebate applications must be received by April 30, 2024. See Program Terms and Conditions for additional details.

Incentives will be paid on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to project and customer eligibility and availability of funds.

How to Participate

New home builders can save on the costs of building energy-efficient homes in five easy steps:

Complete an Online Partnership Agreement if you’re building an ENERGY STAR certified home

Sign the builder agreement

Build homes according to the path you select—builders pursuing the whole-house path will need to select a participating RESNET-accredited HERS rater to complete an on-site inspection and home performance test

Submit final documentation through our online portal
